Why?

I sit and ponder the question why?
Confused and stunned, I can't deny
One minute we were talking on the phone
The next, I was all alone

Where did you go?
The truth, only you do know
So many questions with no answers to be found
How I wish you were still around

You have left me in darkness, full of doubt
Why did you shut me out?
There is really no reason in going on
It seems like the same old song

This song plays over and over again
I already know how the story ends
It is time to end this pain once and for all
Heartache, I shall find no more

My question to you is simply "Why?"
Why didn't you at least say goodbye?
