Childhood Days

Do you remember those childhood days?
Not a care in the world, all we did was laugh and play
We didn't have to worry about paying bills
and being responsible
Our lives still full of promise and anything was possible
Our parents took care of us as we laugh and play
Indeed how wonderful they were, those childhood days
The best of times were those summer days
School was out and the teachers stayed away
I remember at the playgrounds they were full of fun and games
How good friends poked fun at each other and called each other names
Everything was so innocent in our little eyes
Our world was so pure, there were no lies
I'll never grow up, I remember I once said
Unfortunately for all of us, grow up we all did
Oh, how I wish I could turn back time so I could continue
to laugh and play
But I'll always remember those special childhood days.
