Eternal Love

As I look into the deep blue sky
A blue island I hope to find
On that island in Heaven above
I think of my father with eternal love

Physically, he may be gone
In my heart, he will always belong
Memories of him I'll always remember
An eternal love that will last forever

Your love for us was always so clear
Inside of me, you'll always be near
When I look into the clouds on a rainy day
Heaven's light, you'll shine my way

I will look for your guiding light
To ease my fears, to make everything alright
Father, how proud I am of you
I hope and pray that you truly knew

It's so hard to fight back these tears

The pain I feel inside
It is so hard to say goodbye
I can't believe you are gone
It's so hard to try to be strong

You raised me with your guiding hand
From a child to a Man
You were always there for me
You are responsible for the man I turned out to be

Everything good about me is because of you
Your love for me, ever so true
You taught me what was right and wrong
You were always there to help me along

I think about you everyday
So many things I never got to say
Father, I feel so alone
My heart cries out for you to come home

It's so hard to say goodbye
