How do I say goodbye without making you cry?
How do I say goodbye when the thought of hurting you
has brought tears to my eyes
The thought of hurting you was never
what I had intended for you or I
But to stay and pretend everything
was fine would be just a big lie
Our two worlds are just too different
and the distance just too far
I only wish you happiness and for you to be a star
Please believe me that my feelings for you were true
If only you knew how much I really cared about you
As I'm writing these words my heart has begun to die
So let me ask you again.....how do I say goodbye?
